Busy year as livestock issues continue

Taking part in the National Peak Body Discussion at the WAFarmers Fuel The Tank 2020 Conference at the Westin, Perth, last week were National Farmers' Federation chief executive Tony Mahar (left), with Sheep Producers Australia acting chief executive officer Stephen Crisp, Wool Producers Australia Jo Hall, Grain Producers Australia chairman Andrew Wiedemann and Cattle Council of Australia chief executive officer Travis Tobin. The group answered questions about Brexit, the impact of the coronavirus on the industry and important discussion within the industry to have a united and collaborative approach to issues effecting all growers and producers. Mr Mahar said it was difficult but the industry needed to "keep striving for a co-ordinated, united and clear voice to government".

MT BARKER farmer David Slade has been re-elected unopposed as president of the WAFarmers livestock section at the recent WAFarmers Fuel The Tank 2020 Conference at The Westin Perth hotel.
