Mareeba combined agents penned a total of 1024 head at this week's prime and special store cattle sale, an increase of 173 head on the previous week.
Two local processors were present along with several traders and a large gallery of local buyers.
The yarding consisted of 231 steers averaging 295.4c selling to a top of 350.2c, 394 bulls averaging 226.2c selling to a top of 348.2c, 141 cows averaging 210.8c selling to a top of 292.2c, 150 heifers averaging 264.9c selling to a top of 310c, 35 yearling heifers averaging 291.5c selling to a top of 342.2c and 70 yearling steers averaging 320.6c selling to a top of 340.2c.
