WA harvest likely to be more than 20 million tonnes

With all the rain this year, harvest at Katanning is looking promising. Jane Taylor, who captured this image, said they haven't been able to enter their paddocks for about six weeks due to very wet soils. However they are not complaining and are hoping they start to get a bit more sun now to encourage everything to really take off.

IN a year of unprecedented events, first-ever occurrences and history-breaking feats, the WA grain harvest has been tipped to set its own record, with the Grain Industry Association of Western Australia (GIWA) last week predicting just over 20 million tonnes for the 2021 season.
