THE Bolgart Values Community group hosted its third annual Bolgart Bush Christmas Market in the town on Sunday, which was officially opened by Moore MLA Shane Love.
A total of 34 stallholders participated and more than 150 people took the opportunity to do some early Christmas gift buying or treat themselves to something special and predominantly homemade.
More than $2500 was raised by the group to go towards community projects, including providing a hamper a month to someone needing a bit of a boost or someone who has gone out of their way for community or others.

Gloria Hayden (left), Junk Journals by G, Metricup, sold handmade journals, while her friend Lynlee Chitty, Toodyay, sold native bush floral arrangements and also donated her time to dress up the Bolgart Hall with her floral artworks.

Geraldton couple Murray 'the madhatter'and Glenda 'the basketcase lady' Blyth, set up their stand containing his hats made from recycled hay baling twine and her pots and artworks made from recycled fishing ropes and natural fibres including dried grass and roots from around Lake Narembeen.
Bolgart local Barbara Mottershaw juggled running her own decorated cake stand with being one of the event's main organisers.

Barbara Drinkwater (left), Bolgart, bought some beef jerky from Jaclyn Workman, Jaclyn's Homemade Beef Jerky, Moora. Ms Workman started making the jerky for her diabetic son and it has grown into a business, for which she "buys everything except the packaging locally to keep money and jobs in our town."
