Although the top selling bull in last year’s sale sold for $50,000, the Pearce family
encourages buyers to not be deterred and still come to have a look for plenty of affordable options. In 2021, 45 of the sale lots sold for $10k or less, with some bulls purchased for as little as $5,000.
“We’ve based our breeding programme on the longest ultra-sounded herd in the world, which measures traits like marbling and muscle which makes all the difference when it comes to eating quality’, explains Stephen Pearce. “This is why they eat so well and butchers can’t get enough of Telpara bred steers.”
