COUNCIL elections in the Wheatbelt came to a close on Saturday night.
At 8.20pm returning officer Robert Dew announced councillors Denis Beresford, Steven Pollard and Des Hughes had resecured their positions in the Shire of Northam town ward.
The turn-out rate in the town was ward 33.88 per cent.
In a turn-out rate of 35.14 per cent councillor Ulo Rumjantsev was elected to the central ward.
Terry Little was elected unopposed in the west ward.
All elected Northam councillors will serve until October 21, 2017.
In the Shire of York, Matthew Reid, David Wallace, and Tony Boyle secured the majority vote.
Toodyay Shire conducted elections for the east, north and central wards.
