ON FRIDAY, October 25, Northam will host the annual child development expo.
The expo is for all parents with children up to four years of age, and will provide information about child development, local support services and community groups.
It will be held from 9am-noon at the Northam Town Hall.
Stalls will be run by health professionals and community groups, and will include handy tips on: reading and writing, fussy eating, road safety, learning through play, immunisation, breastfeeding, mental health, toilet training and more.
This year the expo will embrace a Hungry Caterpillar theme. Many stallholders will offer Hungry Caterpillar children's activities and each child will receive a Hungry Caterpillar card to fill in as they visit each stall.
Local occupational therapist Linda Dryka encourages parents to come to the expo.
"This is a great opportunity to pick up a range of ideas and activities that you can take home and use with your child to maximise their full potential," Ms Dryka said.
