ON Friday, April 4, Meckering students were able to take part in sessions run by the Foodbank organisation.
In the first session, junior class made delicious, healthy recipes which they shared for morning recess.
The senior class prepared their food after recess and ate at lunch time.
The ladies from Foodbank were most impressed with the students' knowledge of which foods are healthy and that they were happy to try all the fruits and vegetables.

THE senior class travelled to Albany for the last week of term for school camp.
Part of the studies for the term were about the Anzacs leaving Albany to travel to Gallipoli and a visit to all the military sites was an important part of the trip.
Other highlights were visiting Whale World and a river cruise.
Babakin Primary School also joined with Meckering School for the camp.
Assisting principal Jan Whisson and class teacher Caitlin Smith was Rod Pimlott who also drove the bus.
Special thanks to the parents and citizens association who supported the trip financially.
