THE past two weeks of pennants play has seen strong competition, with Northam One going through undefeated and Northam Two struggling to secure a win.
On October 24, Northam One hosted Beverley while Northam Two travelled to York.
Congratulations to Northam One which beat Beverley by eight sets, 19-11 and in particular to Astyn, Isaac and Leon Temby who each took five sets on the day.
Northam Two were soundly defeated, with York taking all 30 sets and conceding only 44 games during the afternoon.
This past weekend the Northam Lawn Tennis Club hosted a double-header with both teams competing at home.
Northam One played York and won 18-12 sets while Northam Two lost to an undermanned Goomalling team by 12 sets.
Special mention to both Brittany Norrish - who played in the number one spot for Northam Two for the first time and halving her singles - and to new member and firsttime player Luke Edmonds who won five of his six sets.
Congratulations to club captain Kirsten Arthur and Astyn Temby who both won all of their six sets.
On October 28, Cunderdin held its annual Ladies Open Day Tournament with 20 pairs in attendance.
