IN the build up to the Running Club’s big end-of-season championships, the club headed out to Trimmer Road to run a section of the Kep Track.
The weather eased after a hot start to the week, which made for good conditions for the 10km event.
The 10km had Michael Dymnicki out to find some sort of form crossing the line in first place in 37:27, to find later he was five seconds slower than the course record.
Lloyd Reidy and Dave Warburton again ran a consistent 10km run, with Reidy coming in second in 42:31 and Warburton third in 53:27.
In the 5km distance it was young Nicolas Warburton who showed the pack how it was done crossing first in 23:36.
Simon Northey battled hard for second spot in 26:15 ahead of Maria Matres third 29:16.
Clive Fillingham came in fourth in 31:53, Chris Antonio fifth with 33:57 and Catherine Warburton sixth with 45:08.
Madison Dymnicki dominated the 2.5km run, winning comfortably in 13:54.
The club now heads into the 5km championship run which will again be held at Muresk College tomorrow and will start at 5.45pm.
All interested runners and walkers are welcome.
The start will be next to the old Muresk Oval.
