CBH fertiliser manager David Pritchard said grower collections would be available from January.
The phosphate arrived on a ship which first took wheat from Geraldton to Vietnam before travelling to China for pickup, offering the co-operative a freight saving advantage for the new venture.
The fertiliser will be stored in Qube storage facilities at both ports, where new storage facilities have been constructed for this purpose.
At Geraldton, CBH is using two new storage bays and one existing bay with a capacity of 15,000 tonnes.
A 250t per hour blender sourced from the United States will also be housed on site.
The Kwinana facility will use the entire existing Qube 25,000t capacity shed and a second 250t/hr blender will also be on site.
Qube, as landlords of CBH Fertiliser, will operate loading of the product and a CBH employee will also be based on site.
CBH will offer mono ammonium phosphate (MAP), nitrogen phosphorus sulphur (NPS) compounds, urea and blends including muriate of potash (MOP) and trace elements.
Potash is being sourced from Germany from a quality regular supplier into WA and urea will come from the Middle East.
CBH's head office personnel will handle all the administrative functions including grower contracts, truck booking process and invoicing, with growers contracting directly through their local business relationship manager or the grower service centre.
CBH is offering a standard 30-day payment term on pick up for approved growers.
