THE CBH Group has announced a new partnership that will see WA netballer, Caitlin Basset visiting regional WA to conduct netball workshops.
The West Coast Fever goal shooter has previously played for the Australian Diamonds and Perth Orioles.
The latest sponsorship of the CB Project continues the CBH Group's long-standing support for sport in rural communities.
Through the CB Project, Caitlin Bassett will conduct a regional introductory program for school-aged children and their families.
"It's fun and plays a key role in bringing together the people and communities," Ms Bassett said.
The CBH Group chairman Neil Wandel said the co-operative was thrilled to add support to netball, offering a diverse range of sports across regional communities.
"Caitlin's experience will be invaluable in strengthening netball within rural communities. The CBH Group has long-standing partnerships with rural sport including football, hockey and tennis," Mr Wandel said.
"It has played an integral role in the lives of people in grain growing areas."
Ms Bassett said the partnership with the CBH Group would provide young players with the opportunity to develop their skills.
"This support will help to provide our young players with the opportunity to learn about the game and create a path for some young kids to follow their dream of playing at the elite level of the sport they love," Ms Bassett said.
