YESTERDAY was typically warm in western and southern WA after a cold morning, but that's all about to change.
Showers, storms and a gusty, colder wind change will move through the region during the next few days. The showers and storms will be fairly patchy but should bring the first rain in more than a month to parts of the wheat belt and goldfields.
Some of the storms may be severe with damaging winds the most likely feature. Large hail is a chance too but the storms will generally travel too fast to bring significant flash flooding.
So far this month cold mornings and warm, sunny days is something that residents are getting used to.
Those in Newdegate have had a particularly difficult time knowing what to wear on most days.
