THERE is a new tenant for the pop up shop at 182 Fitzgerald Street.
Dunn on Time Embroidery has primarily been contracted by the Shire of Northam, along with Comfort Quilts Against Cancer.
Bronwyn Dunn said they were lucky to be given the honour by the Shire given there were nine other nominations.
"To be given the opportunity is amazing," she said.
"What the Shire is doing is also amazing, by opening up this empty space and trying to build the town up."
The new shop opened its doors on April 18.
It will remain open for at least another two months, with the option of a third month if required.
Speaking about the current condition of the group, Bronwyn said Comfort Quilts Against Cancer recently presented their 380th quilt.
"The difficulty is getting the word out as to who we are," she said.
Bronwyn said there are 12 people currently working on the quilts, including a work for the dole member.
"We need volunteers in any capacity," she said.
"We can supply the wool, we can supply the fabric.
"We are not asking people to pull out of their own pockets."
If you would like to assist, get in touch with Bronwyn on 0422 671 300.
"And come down to 182 Fitzgerald Street and have a look and see what we do," she said.
