Northam Women in Business plays a vital role in the community as a support network for local women who own their own business.
Since it was formed in August 2015 by Jo Hill and Leonie Knipe, membership has steadily grown to 54 members.
The ladies meet monthly to discuss future fundraising ventures, business issues, personal accomplishments and usually have a guest speaker.
The group has done a lot for the community including working with the Shire to bring Christmas on Fitzgerald to life in 2015.
Some of the achievements this year include starting of the Northam Farmers Market which encourages local businesses to sell fresh produce and homemade goods from the village green and raising money for a local boy with cerebral palsy Walt Reidy to purchase a Little Room.
The group is holding its annual event early next year that is yet to be announced.
The organising committee said they are very excited to bring an event of this caliber to Northam. Regular updates will be released on the group's Facebook page.
Northam Women in Business are always looking to welcome new members.
