The Cancer Council's Biggest Morning Tea fundraising event is back for another year in Northam on Thursday, May 25.
For over 20 years Purslowe Tinetti Funerals have hosted the event, providing morning tea and goodies to the community in return for donations to cancer research.
Last year over $15,000 was raised for The Cancer Council by the community and over $13,817,227 was raised in total across Australia.
The event is an opportunity for friends, family or workmates to get together over a cup of tea and enjoy a bite to eat and good company while raising money for a good cause.
A Wine and Cheese Silent Auction night will be held the week before on May 19 from 6pm, with all money being donated to the cause.
The wine for the evening is being donated by Raelene from Northam Liquor Barons.
The morning tea and wine night will be held at the Purslowe Tinetti Funeral Chapel, 264 Fitzgerald St, Northam.
The Cancer Council Website states there are more than 1.1 million Australians who are either living with cancer or who have survived a diagnosis.
The community is being encouraged to donate to the cause in return for a cup of tea, great company, home made treats and a chance to win one of many door prizes.
Due to the increasing popularity of this service, businesses are asked to get their order in early.
Treats can be pre ordered and delivered to businesses that can not attend the event on the day.
Contact the office on 9622 1411 or info@purslowetinettifunerals.com for orders.
If any businesses or individuals would like to donate goods or services to the cause, contact Dianne at Purslowe Tinetti Funerals.
