Avon Valley residents are being encouraged to apply for retail positions online prior to ALDI opening its doors in Northam at the end of 2017.
The store will be supported by a team of 15-20 permanent full and part-time employees, including a store manager and assistant store manager.
The supermarket is currently looking to fulfill the management positions, with suitable candidates encouraged to apply online before applications close on Friday July 14, 2017.
The retail assistant roles will open later this year and candidates are being encouraged to keep an eye on the website for updates.
Shopping complex developer Greg Pearce said the centre is on track, but he is not ready to release official opening dates just yet.
“It will be sometime before the end of the year,” said Mr Pearce.
An ALDI spokesperson said they are excited to be opening in Northam.
“We are proud to call ourselves ‘good different’”, the spokesperson said.
“We offer a supermarket experience that is like no other in Australia, and it’s our differences that allow us to bring unbeatable value to our customers every day.”
The spokesperson said energy management is a key priority for the organisation so they will be using LED lighting and extended energy efficient chillers.
“While we’re delighted to be introducing these innovations, we want our customers to know they won’t lead to higher prices,” the spokesperson said.
“Low prices are a big deal for ALDI.
“In fact, we refuse to be beaten on price.
“This is our fundamental point of difference and one we will never give away.”
