More spraying flexibility from Case IH

Now there’s AIM Command FLEX, which Case IH say is the ultimate in spray control.

Pulse width modulation (PWM) technology is still employed to precisely control product flow and pressure regardless of speed but Case IH has added more features.

The company said AIM Command FLEX adds flexibility to product application by allowing operators to pre-set spray rates up to 30 per cent higher than the target rate on up to eight nozzles.

This accommodates sprayer wheel tracks, fence rows and other uneven field conditions.

The new system also operates 36 separate boom sections, allowing more precise control across the boom and throughout the field, while maintaining a consistent application rate over a wider range of speeds.

And the system also compensates for turns by automatically adjusting rates across the boom to prevent over or under-application through field curves and turns.

In addition, a nozzle valve diagnostic system helps keep the sprayer running efficiently. The system monitors each nozzle and notifies the operator immediately if a valve malfunctions or a wire becomes unplugged.

AIM Command FLEX operates through the sprayer’s rate controller, using the AFS Pro 700 for monitoring and adjustment of application rate, spray pressure, boom section status, product tank volume and other operating parameters.

The system generates as-applied maps and application reports using data exported in a Shape file format.

For system flexibility, AIM Command FLEX is ISO Virtual Terminal (VT)-compatible.

For operators seeking even more precise applications, Case IH offers AIM Command FLEX S.

The system allows on-off control of individual nozzles through the Case IH Viper 4+ controller. Guidance is still run through the AFS Pro 700 but no additional hardware is needed.
