A teenage boy has fallen from Bells Bridge while watching the Avon Valley Descent on Sunday afternoon.
The incident happened at 11.15am when the boy was reportedly watching the event.
It is unclear at this stage how he fell, but it is understood he landed on the rocks below the bridge.
An event emergency services team took around 20 minutes to reach the boy, as the fast-moving rapids made the rescue difficult.
The boy was taken by stretcher to a St John Ambulance.
A St John spokesperson confirmed ambulance officers were treating the boy at the scene for cuts, bruises and minor leg injuries.
