March 9 and 10, 2018 is just around the corner.
The Wheatbelt Relay for Life committee and participants have been busy and the fundraising is really ramping up.
So far raised is a massive $15,535 with more dollars coming in daily. There is a bit of work to do to reach our target of $75,000.
The committee would like to challenge everyone in Northam and surrounds to take part when you see the iconic purple and yellow shirts, whether it being buying a sausage sizzle or a raffle ticket, every little bit helps.
The committee are going to be starting a new initiative and invite everyone in Northam and surround to "Paint the Town Purple".
This initiative will have a group of participants walk around the bridges every Friday afternoon commencing from the 10th of November from 5pm for a gold coin contribution.
This initiative will see participants and individuals who are unsure what the Wheatbelt Relay for Life is all about to come down and have a chat whilst walking around the picturesque Avon River.
Please come in your purple relay shirt or if you are a prospective wear anything purple that you feel comfortable walking in.
Don't forget to like the Wheatbelt Relay for Life page on Facebook for further information, updates and fundraising events.
The committee would like to say a huge thank you to Community Tab Touch and the Northam Race Club for the opportunity to fundraise at their recent Gannon's Ladies Day cup this was a very successful day which saw a jumbo raffle of 2 x balloon flights kindly donated by Windward Ballooning, 2 x Captain Cook Cruises tickets donated by Captain Cook Cruises and accommodation for 2 donated kindly by Emu Point Motel in Albany.
Thank you to the donators for prizes and everyone who took part on the day.

This was a huge success with many participants turning up to have a go. Thank you to Quins Gourmet Butchers for their donation of a meat tray that was raffled off on the day. We look forward to holding another successful golf day in the future.
