The Northam RSL Sub Branch has asked for the community to save their empty cool drink bottles.
The club will be using the bottle-bottoms to make plastic poppies for the 100th Remembrance Day service next year.
Northam RSL Sub Branch membership officer Donna Prytulak said the creative idea was started by the secretary of the Rockingham branch.
“Thee more we can collect the more we can make,” she said.
“We will accepted all sizes of cool drink bottles or water.”
She said the Northam organisation was looking for community groups or individuals to help make the flowers.
“There will be a few workshops over the year so we can put them all together,” she said. “We are also looking for some old or new bamboo sticks if you have any around that you don’t need or you may want to donate.”
The creations will be on show at Bernard Park in Northam on November 11, 2018.
