On Saturday 30 June the Relay for Life Awards were held in Perth where recognition is given to Relay for Life committees that have gone above and beyond.
The Wheatbelt Relay was successful with being awarded "The Amazing Teamwork Award" as our committee is the smallest in the state and had received an amazing fundraising total of $55,000.
Also awarded that evening was The Spirit of Relay Award the highest honour you can receive.
This award recognises the effort of an individual and their passion and drive for the cause that is Relay for Life.
Out of the many volunteers nominated from across the state, Ashlea Owczarski-Moss of Northam was the successful recipient.
She has been a pivotal member of the Wheatbelt Relay for Life since 2012 and continues to help the charity event.
