The third game of the Avon Valley soccer season took place on Sunday at 9am on a damp, yet a good conditioned Jubilee oval.
The relocation from the Henry street oval was to try and preserve the condition of it for the Federals AFL match against Cunderdin.
In the first of the two junior games it was a close encounter that had the Northam Springfield Football Club (NSFC) just sneaked past the Toodyay Soccer Club (TSC) by two goals 7-5. In the second junior match NSFC won over TSC 6-0, but the score was not reflective of how well both teams played.
In the intermediates game it was a free-flowing, fast end-to-end game which had Northam just prevailing with a 2-1 win.
In the senior match, Toodyay turned the tides back its way in a very skilful, well-spirited game to win 4-3. Afterwards everyone involved from both sides enjoyed a free sausage and steak sizzle with drinks.
Players – training is this Friday, August 10 at a place to be advised (either the Jubilee oval or at the Northam Recreation Centre).
