Reducing mastitis risk
DAIRY farms where milkers have completed a training course have less of a problem with mastitis reinfection, a survey has shown.
To test the effectiveness of its Cups-On-Cups-Off (COCO) dairy worker training course, Dairy Australia recently commissioned a random survey of 100 participants who did the course in the past two years.
Dairy Australia animal health and fertility project manager Kathryn Davis said the survey results were clear evidence proper training could reduce incidence of mastitis.
