Fire crews are currently attending to a vehicle fire in Irishtown following a crash between two trucks.
The Department of Fire and Emergency services received an alert at 5:46pm on Thursday October 11 near the intersection of Great Eastern Highway and Northam-Pithara Road.
Police said a third truck was able to avoid the crash.
One truck was on fire with the driver removed from the vehicle and transferred to Northam Hospital by St John Ambulance.
It is believed the driver has suffered broken bones but has no life threatening injuries.
Police have been on the scene and Main Roads is on the way to the incident to clean up and conduct traffic maintenance.
