Saturday marked the start of the York Community Resource Centre’s 2018/2019 Summer Movie Festival, an event made possible thanks to Healthways Make SmokingHistory
The community came out in carloads, with 400 people in camping under the stars to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
The kids played lawn games while families set up their perfect picnic area with bean bags, blankets and chairs ready to watch in comfort.
The next movie, Australian made ‘The BBQ’ will be playing on Saturday, January 19 in Peace Park.
The free events are open to the community of York and our surrounding towns.
Popcorn and drinks are available at each event for sale to raise funds for the York CRC.
