A BURSTER of a clearing sale conducted by Landmark bought to a close RG Woodward’s farming operation at Narrikup recently and as always it was great to see a good crowd appreciating a wide range of gear for all farming purposes.
Big ticket items were presented and sold well, helping the sale gross just short of $800,000.
Prices peaked at $99,000 for a New Holland T7070 Quicke front end loader with a general purpose bucket, two hay roll spears and 3100 hours on the clock.
The tractors continued to make the big money and another New Holland T6010 tractor plus front end loader with general purpose bucket, hay spears and 2300 hours on the clock made $68,200.
A New Holland FP 420 forage harvester went for $44,000 and an articulated WMC 30 loader with 1350 hours recorded next to it, made $45,100.
A Marshall Multi-Spreader 960TL (new) made $35,200, a Ford FEL made $27,500 and a Mitsubishi truck went for $23,100.
Keeping with the bigger machinery, a Ford 8340 tractor with 8100 hours sold for $22,000.
The hay gear also sold well with a New Holland BR 1070 baler making $22,000 and a Querneland mower realised $8360.
Other haymaking and feeding equipment continued to be in demand with a Kerry sidewinder making $7150, a Class Twin Liner 1550 hay rake made $11,220 and a silage cart went for $16,500.
Other items which sold for significant values included an Agrow drill, coil tyne, 18 row, which sold for $15,950, a roller which sold for $17,600 and a John Deere 4050 with 9000 hours on the clock which sold for $12,100.
One of the augers offered went for $11,220.
Keeping in line with the strength of the sheep market, there was a lot of interest in TPW electric wool press and this sold very well at $12,100.
