There are two Boeing 737 aircraft parked at Perth Airport, which were once the pride of the fleet for OzJet, and they have been deteriorating and accumulating parking fees in excess of their value for the past nine years.
Occupying precious ground space it was decided they needed to depart, one way or another.
No longer airworthy, the aircraft must be demolished and removed bit by bit.
Many poeple want to see them saved and put to use, so with the help of the community and a team of volunteers the two aircraft are being transported by road, piece by piece, to White Gum Air Park in York.
On Wednesday, March 27, the first fuselage, in a single piece, and the second wing will arrive in York.
