Four Wheatbelt organisations have been awarded more than $13,000 to help assist and benefit local volunteers.
Federal Member for Durack Melissa Price welcomed the Government's funding for the Volunteer Grants 2019.
"Around 5,000 community organisations around the nation will benefit from this funding, supporting more than 280,000 volunteers, and I am pleased that 36 Durack organisations have been successful with a total of $145,690 under these Volunteer Grants," she said.
"Four organisations in the Wheatbelt were successful receiving a total of $13,419."
The successful organisations will receive grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 to purchase small equipment items, contribute towards the cost of training courses and background checks, and to help to reimburse volunteers for the cost of their fuel or transport.
Dowerin St John Ambulance Sub Centre volunteers will be given a team networking and debriefing space thanks to the grant.
The Goomalling Bowling Club secured $1,500 in funds to purchase a lapatop to centralise the club's information removing the need for volunteers to use their own devices.
Other Wheatbelt winners were the Moore Catchment Council and Narembeen St John Ambulance Sub Centre.
