Ms Daubney won the Industry Advocacy award in the national 2015 Women in Industry Awards, announced in Sydney recently.
She is a passionate advocate for ethical dairy and heads a vertically-integrated Northcliffe, Western Australia, family farm business producing, selling and exporting milk and cream.
Ms Daubney was nominated by the Department of Agriculture and Food and beat six other contenders from mining and resources-related, engineering and manufacturing organisations, including a multi-national corporate group and a national industry association.
"I am passionate about our exciting and challenging industry and I am a keen advocate to improve awareness of the great future ahead," Ms Daubney said.
"There is no greater sense of purpose than to supply food for Australia, I am so proud to be in the agrifood industry.
"It is very pleasing to have won this award and to see agriculture on the national stage."
The win earned her praise from her local MP, Regional Development Minister Terry Redman who said she was "an invaluable source of information and advice" when he became agriculture minister in 2008.
"Sue is an excellent example of a business woman with a bold, passionate and powerful vision not just for her business, but also for the local community she lives in, the people she employs and the industry she propels forward for the betterment of all Australian dairy farmers," Mr Redman said.
The second annual Women in Industry Awards recognised the achievements of women working in the mining, engineering and manufacturing industries, and aimed to raise the profile of women within industry, as well as promote and encourage excellence.
Ms Daubney was awarded the WA Telstra Business Women's Innovation Award in 2006 and was First Amongst Equals in WA Business News 40under40 in 2010.
