On Monday, June 17 students at Northam Primary School took to the track to take part in the school's annual cross country carnival.
The weather was perfect for a whole school sporting event.
Students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 raced various distances ranging from 500 metres to 1.5 kilometres.
The race course went around the school grounds.
The Department of Sport and Recreation Wheatbelt office kindly loaned their inflatable 'True Sport' arch and flags to add a level of impact to the event.
Parents and guardians kindly donated their time and supported the carnival by taking on various roles throughout the day.
Following the student presentation of medals families joined the Northam Primary School community for a whole school picnic on the oval.
Morgan Shaw is the deputy principal at Northam Primary School.
