Eight-month-old George Harrington, enjoyed his first big rain downpour last week. At Pintharuka near Morawa, the Harringtons work the 5000 hectare property with family. The system last Wednesday delivered 40 to 85 millimetres of rainfall across the property, prompting Lucas Harrington to gather his family and go for a drive. He said his son loved his first big rainfall and he was joined by sisters Tess, 5 and Pippa 4. With a farming background, Mr Harrington has been in the area since he was 13, with his family farming at Latham. Previously working in the mining sector, he returned to work for his in-laws last December. The program mainly focuses on wheat, however lupins and barley are seeded as required. Weve definitely had our yearly rain in spots now, Mr Harrington said. I reckon we might start scratching some lupins in in about two weeks. Come Anzac Day we will start regardless.

OPTIONS, that's what many Western Australian farmers have after good rainfall over the weekend and in some parts of the State earlier this week.
